Starters and Leavers

We are always sad to see our staff members move on, they are like family, but unfortunately this year is no different.

Last week we said goodbye to Elaine who has been part of our admin team since January 2020 and has been amazing throughout the lockdowns keeping everything organised and on track! A goodbye also means a welcome and we are really excited to welcome Joanne to our team, she started last week and has already fitted in really well and we look forward to working with her going forwards.

The pandemic has really impacted the music industry hard and some people, like our Woodwind teacher Ben Lester, have decided to move into different industries altogether!

Ben has been teaching with us for 4 years and is in every night of the week, he will be greatly missed and we wish him all the best and hope he won't be a stranger as he moves on to pastures new.

We are incredibly excited to have found 2 teachers to replace Ben. Jane Hale and Sophie Bell. Jane will be teaching on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and Sophie on Thursdays and Fridays. Having 2 teachers means that we have also been able to increase our teaching capacity so get in touch if you would like Piano or Woodwind lessons before all the new slots are filled up!

Finally we are saying goodbye to Rachael, our strings teacher. Although she's only been our full time teacher for 12 months she has been involved with us on and off for a lot longer as she was our cover strings teacher for a while before that. Rachael has had her contract with a Manchester based music service extended to full time so is unfortunately no longer able to get to Sandbach in time to teach. She has been an amazing asset to us and has really grown our string teaching provision.

We are therefore welcoming Emily Blayney to our team as our new Strings teacher. As with our new teachers above we have managed to increase our Strings capacity with Emily so we now have a couple of extra slots for string teaching, get in touch if you want to reserve these!

Thank you to all our incredible team at Sandbach Music, keeping the business running smoothly is a real team effort and the past 12 months have been far from ordinary! We hope you all have a lovely 3 week summer break and look forward to seeing you all back for your lessons from 23rd August when our new and existing teachers, along with our admin team, will all be ready with big smiles to help you continue on your musical journey.

We are always on the lookout for new teachers to add to our books to allow future growth and cover holidays and illness so, whatever instrument, please get in touch if you would be interested in working for us: info@sandbachmusi.co.uk
